"It's disappointing, it's frustrating, and at times it's been embarrassing," said Minnesota Twins President Dave St. Peter during the WCCO Radio Morning News on Thursday.
St. Peter told WCCO Radio's Mike Max that for now, everything is on the table when it comes to figuring out how to turn the Minnesota Twins (14-27) season around.
"Organizationally, there's a lot of work being done internally to assess where we're at, how we fix it, and how we get better," St. Peter said. "We are having conversations we didn't anticipate having about how we could pivot on the fly over the course of this season, heading toward the trade deadline. Everything needs to be on the able and I assure you that it is."
The Twins are coming off a three-game series against the AL Central-leading Chicago White Sox, who won the series 2-1.
Now, the Twins face the LA Angels Thursday for a doubleheader before traveling to Cleveland for a three-game weekend series.
Fans will have a shot at buying tickets to the Twins final 52 scheduled home games starting Thursday at noon.
Target Field will allow 80 percent capacity starting with the their home series against the New York Yankees on June 8 and then 100 percent capacity starting July 5
"We're thrilled we've been able to move into that mode," St. Peter added. "If you're interested in coming to the ballpark at any point over the course of the summer, Thursday is your day with single game ticket sales starting for the rest of the season."
The Twins also announced a limited-time 'Summer Fun' $5 ticket deal that begins at noon and ends at 10 p.m. CT Monday, May 24.
Wednesday night marked the return to baseball for Alex Kirilloff who is rehabbing with the St. Paul Saints. Kirilloff did not disappoint.
The Saints could soon get a boost in the outfield from Twins centerfielder Byron Buxton. The 27-year-old has been working to get back into the Twins line-up after landing on the injured list with a Grade 2 hip strain suffered on May 6.
Buxton could play for the Saints as soon as this weekend.
"You might see Byron Buxton over there over the weekend, that might be fun," St. Peter said. "For fans over there, keep an eye on things, you might see a pretty good centerfielder roaming CHS Field in the near future."
