No matter the amount of snow that fell across the Twin Cities this week, nothing could dampen the spirits of hockey moms in St. Paul today.

“We live in Minnesota. We’re used to this,” fans of Lakeville North shared with News Talk 830 WCCO’s Susie Jones on their way to the Xcel Energy Center.

The girl’s state high school hockey tourney is underway at the Xcel Energy Center, with teams competing for one of the top honors in the state through Saturday.

Among the victories today were Edina defeating Lakeville North, Andover beating Rosemount, and Mankato East winning against Luverne.

While not everyone was happy with the outcome of their games, parents, players, and fans alike were just happy to see the tournament continue.
