The Minnesota Gophers men's basketball team could be losing their top overall scorer from this past season.
Minnesota Gophers star point guard Marcus Carr has entered the transfer portal, according to reports released Friday morning.
Carr, a second-team all-Big Ten selection this past season, led the Gophers men's basketball team this year with 19.4 points per game.
The Gophers finished 14-15 overall and 6-14 in the Big Ten.
Carr is the third Gophers basketball player to enter the transfer portal this week, which was headlined by the firing of head coach Richard Pitino.
Jamal Mashburn Jr., the top recruit in former head coach Richard Pitino's 2020 Gopher recruiting class, entered the transfer portal. Junior forward Jarvis Omersa also entered the transfer portal.
