An investigation is underway into an overnight crash near the University of Minnesota that resulted in multiple fatalities.
Minneapolis police say it happed at around 4:15 Tuesday morning at Interstate 35W south, and Fourth Street.
A car carrying seven people hit a semi-truck as it was exiting the highway.
Three people died in the crash and four other people were taken to the hospital. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
It's still unclear what led up to the crash.
