Next month's opening night at Mystic Lake Amphitheater will pay homage to bands with Minnesota roots.
St. Paul native and Saturday Night Live cast member Tommy Brennan will host the June 20th Opening Night Celebration at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, featuring an all Minnesota line-up of Motion City Soundtrack, Ber, Rocket Club and special performance from School of Rock.
Tickets are $20 and go on sale at 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
Proceeds for the show will benefit the Salt Cure Restaurant Recovery Fund, which supports Minnesota’s restaurant workers and businesses.
A headliner for the show will be announced at a later date.
The new 19,000 seat Mystic Lake Amphitheater continues to turn heads with weekly concert announcements for the outdoor venue.
Lately, those have included such big-name artists as Minnesota legend Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews Band, Chris Stapleton, John Mellencamp, Hillary Duff, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Guns 'N Roses, Toto, Santana, one of just two stops for heavy metal legends Slayer, Kesha, Lynard Skynard/Foreigner, Pitbull, and more.

- Concessions will feature a fan-first menu that highlights local partners and rotating food trucks, creating a dynamic and community-driven food experience. Beverage offerings will include craft cocktails, non-alcoholic options, and a selection of local brews.
