Osseo school district is the latest to join a growing list of districts shifting to distance learning due to rising cases of COVID among students and staff.

In a letter sent Monday night to parents, district administrators announced that all middle and high school students are immediately back online, with elementary students joining them on Wednesday.

The plan is to have all Osseo students back in class by January 24.

Fridley schools are back to online for now, and two schools in the Robbinsdale district, Armstrong High and Sandburg Middle School, are distance learning until Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Minneapolis schools went to online learning on Monday because of the cold and ongoing transportation issues due to the pandemic, but they're expected back as early as Tuesday.
