Protests over the killing of Amir Locke have shut down streets around the apartment building where Minneapolis Police executed a search warrant and killed the 22-year old man.
It's unclear who organized the protests, but a post on social media made the rounds on Friday afternoon announcing both the car protest and a rally expected to happen on Saturday.
Minneapolis Police served a no-knock search warrant for St. Paul Police on Wednesday morning. After entering the apartment with a key, they went to a couch where Locke was sleeping. Bodycam footage shows that Locke had a gun in his hand and a Minneapolis SWAT officer shot and killed Locke with three shots.
