Family and friends of Devinn Madley, 20, gathered outside a memorial Tuesday morning to announce a $7,000 reward for information about his homicide.
Madley, who lived in Maplewood, was shot and killed the evening of August 28 near Larpenteur Avenue East and Howard Street North. Police say Madley was walking home from a convenience store when he was shot.
Maplewood Police Lt. Joe Steiner says three people were directly involved with Madley's murder.
"We're still trying to determine who those three people are," Steiner said. "Through leads and if someone comes forward with information we hope to determine who those suspects are."
Theryl Dougas remembered his son as a young, hardworking man who was getting started with life.
"He was just getting into his life," Dougas said. "Somebody knows something out here. I'm begging and pleading for answers. I need to know what happened to my child."

Friends of Madley said he was working for FedEx and was known to joke and dance while on the job.
"He was a hard worker and a loving guy," added Dougas. "He was just an all around good kid."
Investigators have not yet determined if the shooting was random, or a targeted.
Madley's homicide marked the first homicide of 2021 in Maplewood.
Anyone with information is asked to call Maplewood Police.
