The St. Paul school district is looking to hire more than one hundred people ahead of the start of the school year.

There is a particular need right now for paraprofessionals, which are support staff who assist teachers in various tasks, including providing instructional and behavioral support to students.

"High school degree is all you need and really it's all about having a passion for working with kids, and being excited about serving the St. Paul community," says school district spokesperson Erica Wacker.

Wacker says adding paraprofessionals is very important for the district.

"We have openings all across the district, so folks who are interested in working with kids this upcoming school year are encouraged to come out," she explains. "And you can have an interview and get hired on the spot if you are highly qualified for the roles."
