A six-hour armed standoff in Isanti ended safely with an arrest Wednesday night.
Police say they evacuated a neighborhood in Isanti just after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday after reports a man threw things into the street and ran into his home with a gun.
Local police along with multiple agencies, which included a SWAT team, eventually arrested the man after an hours-long exchange of gunfire.
Local police and the sheriff's office are reviewing the case for possible charges while the BCA investigates the use of force.
