More severe weather could hit the Twin Cities on Sunday after a blast of thunderstorms and high winds raced through the region on Saturday night, downing trees and power lines, cutting power to thousands, disrupting the Twins game, and canceling a concert at the Minnesota State Fair grandstand.
Early Sunday morning, Xcel Energy reported nearly 10,000 residents without electricity, with crews still working to restore power to the area.
There were nearly 26,000 customers that lost power on Saturday night.
Thunderstorm warnings were in effect in Ramsey, Dakota, Washington, and Hennepin counties, with pea-sized hail reported by the National Weather Service in Chanhassen.
The NWS also reported winds clocked at 60 mile per hour at St. Paul's Holman Field Airport.
At the state fairgrounds in Falcon Heights, fairgoers scrambled to find shelter when heavy rain began to fall.

At Target Field in downtown Minneapolis, the Twins' game against San Francisco was delayed nearly an hour because of the stormy weather.
