St. Paul police are still searching for a suspect in the shooting of a man inside an apartment building in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood.
Authorities say officers were called to the scene at 3:00 a.m. Monday on the 1100 block of Westminster Street.
There was a massive police presence in the area, including SWAT teams that have left the scene.
The victim was found with a gunshot wound to the back, and taken to Regions Hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.
Officers searched the scene but could not find a suspect.
Police believe this was a random incident, and they're still searching for evidence into how the shooting happened.
