If you're looking for a job this summer, you may want to consider working at the Minnesota State Fair.

The Minnesota State Fair Employment Center is now open and will be hiring for positions such as ticketing, parking, rides and games, barn attendants, custodians and select vendors.

"More than 50% of our employees return year-over-year which is a really great testament to kind of the camaraderie we have in many of our departments at the fair," says State Fair spokesperson Maria Hayden.

Hayden says they get everything from younger workers still in high school, and up.

"They may be taking a break from their career for two weeks every year, or put in their PTO and just come and join and work at the fair. They return each year to do that with their friends in that deparment," explains Hayden.

Fair officials are looking to hire about 1,700 employees for the August 24 through Labor Day, September 4 "Great Minnesota Get-Together".

The Minnesota State Fair employs nearly 80 year-round full-time staff members and approximately 150 seasonal fair-time staff members in addition to the 1,750 that work just during the fair. Plus, it includes free fair admission! Learn more about the opportunities here.
