Two people are charged in connection a deadly street racing crash that happened in Eagan last month.

24-year-old Melody Little and 20-year-old Jordan Weiland face third-degree murder and criminal vehicular homicide charges.

The three-car crash near the intersection of Highway 149 and Highway 55 claimed the lives of two teenagers. Little and Weiland reportedly told police they were in a group of five-to-ten vehicles in a car meet-up in South St. Paul before the crash happened.

There reportedly is cell phone video from two of the cars that show them traveling at speeds up to 110 miles per hour.

Three vehicles were involved: a Jeep SUV, a Honda sedan, and a Dodge SUV.

The two occupants of the Jeep, the driver, 19-year-old Reed Robert Schultz, and the passenger, 18-year-old Finnian Thomas Cronin, were transported to a local hospital.

Schultz died from his injuries shortly after arriving. Cronin continued to receive care at the hospital but later died.

Officers examining the scene found the Honda to be unoccupied. Police later learned the driver, Wieland, had left the scene in a vehicle not involved in the crash. He was located at a local hospital.

Little was the driver of the Dodge and was not injured in the crash.

The Dakota County Attorney's Office says that surveillance camera footage obtained from the Minnesota Department of Transportation shows all three vehicles traveling south on Highway 149, towards Highway 55 at a high speed. Minutes later, the Jeep and the Honda lose control and cross the concrete median. The Jeep then collides with a semaphore pole, severing the vehicle in two.
