A mother and her boyfriend are in-custody after a 17-month-old girl died Tuesday night at Children's Hospital.
Maplewood police said Thursday that officers along with Maplewood firefighters responded to the 1400 block of County Road B East around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a 17-month-old female with significant injuries.
The infant was taken to Children's Hospital and died a short time later.
Police later arrested the girl's mother and the mother's boyfriend on suspicion of second-degree murder.
Maplewood police are expected to release more information Thursday afternoon.
