Two are dead and three were wounded in a shooting Saturday night in St. Paul's Frogtown neighborhood.
The shooting happened following a celebration of life event at Kings Crossing apartment building's community room.
According to St. Paul police, an altercation occurred after 5:00 p.m. following the gathering and shots were fired in the parking lot of the building on the 500 block of Dale Street.
There are no arrests, and police are trying to find out what led to the deadly confrontation.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene while the other man who was fatally injured died at United Hospital.
The three who were hurt include a man who's reported in critical condition at Regions hospital.
Two women were hit during the gunfire, and their injuries are reportedly non-life-threatening.
Kings Crossing is an apartment building for low-income seniors ages 62 and older.
The facility is operated by Episcopal Homes.
This was the second shooting in as many nights in St. Paul, drawing the attention of Gov. Walz.
"The gun violence in St. Paul this weekend is unacceptable," Walz posted on social media.
On Friday night, three teenagers were wounded during a drive-by shooting at a funeral reception on the city's west side.
That event was held for a teenager who was stabbed to death earlier this month at St. Paul's Harding High School.
The three who were hurt on Friday are expected to recover, and there are no arrests in that incident.
Saturday's victims were the fourth and fifth reported homicides of the year in St. Paul.
