A Monday night vigil will honor victims of last week's homicides inside a Hopkins daycare.
Kristin Brown, 41, and her 7-year-old daughter, Evie, were found stabbed to death inside Brown’s in-home daycare on the 200 block of Tyler Avenue North last Wednesday morning.
Investigators identified the suspect as 41-year-old Nathan Brown, who was found dead in an upstairs closet from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Nathan Brown was identified as Kristin’s husband and Evie’s father.
That same day, 78-year-old Alice Brown was found dead inside a Burnsville home. Investigators identified her as a “close family relative.”
Monday's community-led vigil is scheduled for 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Downtown Park.
Over the weekend, Hopkins police shared a statement from the “United Families of Evie, Kristin, Alice, and Nathan”::
"We are completely heartbroken and devastated over this tremendous loss and tragedy. Our families ask for time and privacy as we grieve. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the children and families of Brown Bear Daycare. The families of Brown Bear Daycare were and are so very loved and considered family."
