A strike by some workers at the University of Minnesota is looming just days before students are to report back to campus.
The strike includes some 1,400 employees represented by Teamsters Local 320, including those who work everywhere from dining halls to maintenance that are engaged in mediation with the university.
If an agreement is not reached by midnight, a strike could begin as soon as Wednesday on the Duluth campus, and next week at the Twin Cities campus.
The big issue seems to be pay. Both sides say they will continue to work on a deal.
Classes are set to begin Tuesday, September 2nd.
