A girl is dead after she was struck by a car while riding a bicycle in south Minneapolis early Monday morning.
Minneapolis police have not identified the girl, but did say she was a juvenile.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on the 5600 block of Second Avenue South. Investigators say the girl was leaving a driveway on her bike when she was hit by the driver. The girl was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
The crash is under investigation. MPD adds that the driver immediately pulled over and began to render aid, adding that "no criminality is suspected."
