Texas is bracing for a convoy of truckers who are expected to arrive at the southern border in Texas on Saturday, February 3 to protest migrants illegally crossing over from Mexico.
The convoy is of a so-called group of Christian conservatives that refer to themselves as "God's Army." They claim they are sending a message to the Biden Administration about border security.
The group claims the "dark forces" are working together with the US government to keep the border open. They say they want to stand up to "globalists" who they believe are conspiring to let migrants illegally flood the country.
The group is planning a convoy, expected to leave Monday from Virginia Beach, Virginia for Texas, followed by three rallies.
Two weeks ago, the Texas National Guard seized control of a park in Eagle Pass and put up razor wire to keep US Border Patrol out. Then the Supreme Court ruled the federal government, not Texas, has authority over the border and ordered the state to allow Border Patrol access.
But Texas continues to ignore the ruling and is refusing to allow federal agents access. Governors from more than a dozen other states have offered support to Texas as the standoff continues.
