A new Morning Consult-Politico poll has found that President Joe Biden's favorable rating is at 52%. The poll found that 28% of respondents said they strongly approve of how the president is doing, and 24% said they "somewhat approved."

Democrats who were polled gave a 91% favorable rating, and 46% of polled independents found him favorable. However, on the other side of the aisle, 85% of Republicans said they disapprove of how Biden is doing as president.

The total for the president's 44% disapproval rating comes from 11% who somewhat disapprove and 33% who strongly disapprove. Those numbers are also paired with 54% of respondents saying the U.S. is going on the "wrong track."

The highest marks for the president come from respondents who lauded how he handled the economy, creating millions of new jobs over the last few months. Forty-seven percent of those polled said they either strongly or somewhat approve of how he has handled the economy.

Compared to the last four president's first six months, Biden sits in the middle of the pack regarding job approval rating.

The Politico survey also found that 42% said they somewhat or strongly disapproved of Biden's job with the economy. This also came with 49% of respondents saying they somewhat or strongly approved of how he is handling jobs, with 42% having unfavorable views.

The poll also found that 56% of respondents approve of how Biden is handling the pandemic, compared to 44% who do not approve.

The poll consisted of 1,997 registered voters between July 16-18, 2021. The margin of sampling error was a plus or minus two percentage points.
