During the world cup, a Brazilian soccer star known as Neymar was busy making appearances. Except, it wasn’t really Neymar, according to NBC Sports Chicago.

It was his identical, unrelated doppelganger, who calls himself “Ney’s Lookalike.” Could you have a rouge lookalike out there somewhere too?

The “Something Offbeat” team also found a headline about a pair of U.S. baseball players who look alike and have the same name – Brady Feigl. However, DNA testing indicates they're not related at all, according to the New York Post.

Canadian photographer François Brunelle has been working for years to photograph strangers who look like twins from all over the world. So far, he has captured 250 pairs of doppelgangers.

He joined “Something Offbeat” this week to discuss the project.

“One thing that I learned is that people are the same all over the place,” he told host Mike Rogers. “I photographed Canadian subjects, South American subjects, American subjects, French, Spanish, German and others.
And the when you get to the core of it, people are all the same.”

Have you met your own doppelganger already? You can contact Brunelle to be part of the project here. You can also visit his Instagram page.

Each week, “Something Offbeat” dives into stranger-than-fiction headlines. If you have suggestions for stories “Something Offbeat” should cover, send them to us at somethingoffbeat@audacy.com.
