Divers have recovered a body from the Mississippi River downstream from where a 12-year old boy went missing Monday evening.

The Ramsey County Water Patrol pulled the body from the water late Wednesday morning near the Lilydale boat launch. The medical examiner will make the identification of the body.

Relatives of Ashok Pradhan say the 12-year old boy was playing with his family in the river near Hidden Falls Regional Park when the current swept him away.

A search was conducted by Ramsey County Water Patrol and a dive team in conjunction with the St. Paul Police and Fire Departments but was unsuccessful in finding the child when he was first reported missing Monday night.

The child was last seen Monday night in the vicinity of Hidden Falls Regional Park, according to Roy Magnuson, a spokesman for the Ramsey County Sherriff’s office.
