There was still a police presence early Friday morning in Uptown Minneapolis, where unrest broke out in reaction to the officer-involved shooting that left one man dead.
A small fire was set at the intersection of Lake and Gerard, across a vacant lot from a parking garage when the shooting occurred on Thursday afternoon.
Remains of the fire were swept up and piled near the sidewalk.
There was also police tape seen dangling overhead from a traffic light.

At the intersection itself, chalked messages were left on the pavement, some of them anti-police.
Several buildings were broken into, but there was no widespread looting.

A Speedway gas station was broken into and ransacked, with several police cars parked in front of the building until crews came to board up the broken windows.
There are no reports of any arrests.
