Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR) - Despite the penalties, the turnovers, and some players getting banged up along the way, the Buffalo Bills managed to down a battered Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, 36-10, to improve to 6-1 on the season. This win also came out of the bye week, the 12th-straight such win for the Bills since 2015.

While the stats may indicate a total blowout by the Bills on Sunday, it was a closer contest until Buffalo pulled away in the fourth quarter. The Bills offense turned the ball over twice in the first half, while failing to convert drives in scoring position into touchdowns, especially with the Ravens down to their emergency quarterback, Joe Fagnano, under center in the second quarter.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was first to put his hand up and acknowledge the that his team's performance wasn't the greatest to start.

"That first half wasn't our standard. It was really bad," said Allen after the win during his postgame comments with the media. "We didn't play up to our standard. We weren't throwing it, catching it. I didn't feel like I was doing a good enough job. Obviously, the couple turnovers in the first half, it's not winning football. And then sitting there talking with the guys in that second half and going into halftime, just saying, 'Hey, we're way better than this.' It's just focusing on the details. We went out there. I couldn't tell you our second half splits, but that second half is who we want to be."

In the fourth quarter Sunday, Allen set another new franchise mark with an 11-yard touchdown strike to wide receiver D.J. Moore, passing Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly for the most passing touchdowns - regular season and playoffs - in franchise history.

"That's the goal, right? To go out there and be the best quarterback you can be. To go out there and play good football," Allen said. "We've done that for quite some time now. We have to continue to do that, and find ways to get better. To break the records, it's cool. But I understand it's not just me. There's a lot of guys that have put a lot of work into this that have helped me get to this spot right here, and I don't take that for granted, to be the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. And I said this in the interview after, 'God's placed me here for a reason,' and I'll continue to trust his plan."

Allen finished his afternoon by going 21-of-34 in the air for 289 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. He also added a touchdown on the ground on seven carries for 30 yards.
