Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Offseason workout programs are officially underway around the National Football League, with the Buffalo Bills opening up their voluntary workouts on Tuesday.
Wednesday was media day for some prominent Bills players and personnel, including starting quarterback Josh Allen.

Allen seemed eager, as many are, to get back out onto the field with his teammates. The Bills went through a few changes on both sides of the football throughout the offseason to this point.
"I don't feel like I need to be here, but I absolutely want to be here." Allen said. "I love hanging out with the guys and developing these types of relationships that you don't get otherwise. I love going to camp."
Among the many moves throughout the NFL this offseason, one that impacted Buffalo the most was the contract extension given to wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
"There's a lot of different ways that could've played out, and I'm thankful that he likes this place enough to call this place home for the next six years." Allen said about Diggs.
Along with the changes on the field, the Bills had a lot of changes on the personnel front, including the coaching staff. The most prominent move was offensive coordinator Brian Daboll leaving the team to take on the role of head coach with the New York Giants.
To take Daboll's spot as the offensive coordinator, the Bills decided to promote from within, tagging Ken Dorsey in the new role after serving as the team's quarterbacks coach since 2019. No matter who leads the offense on the sidelines, Allen knows he has to go out and execute whatever play is called.
"As a quarterback, I'm just an extension of the offensive coordinator," Allen said. "Whatever [Dorsey's] trying to call on the field, I have to go out there and understand why and execute."
The star quarterback is getting attention away from the football field this offseason. Allen was recently selected to be part of a new annual charity golf event that is "The Match," along with rival young quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The two will pair up, though, and face off against veterans Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.
"I love competition," Allen said of playing in "The Match." "I'm gonna be teaming up with Pat against two of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game."
