Houston, Texas (WGR Sports Radio 550) - It has been tough-sledding for the Buffalo Bills on this three-game road trip, losing the first two games of this stretch.
After getting dominated the week before on "Sunday Night Football", the Bills managed to play comeback after another shaky start to the contest at NRG Stadium in Houston. After falling behind 20-3 in the third quarter, the Bills came back to tie the game at 20-20 with time beginning to run short in the fourth quarter.
However, the Texans were able to get just into field goal range for kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn, who drilled a 59-yard kick to give Houston the walk-off win.
As the Bills got behind the 8-ball early, so did quarterback Josh Allen, who completed just one pass on seven pass attempts for 24 yards in the opening quarter.
Allen continued to struggle throughout the afternoon, and ended his day by going 9-of-30 for 131 yards and a third quarter touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman to cut the Buffalo deficit to 20-17.
"It starts with making better decisions, on my part. I know didn't", said Allen following Sunday's loss in Houston. "I put the ball in harm's way, especially early in that first half."
Allen understands the frustration from losing streaks in the National Football League, but still has full faith that he and his teammates will make the necessary adjustments moving forward.
"We're gonna keep working. This isn't a defining moment in our season," Allen said. "It's a chance to learn and grow from this, and that's what we're going to do."
