Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills continue to push forward in their late-season pursuit of the playoffs with a dominating 31-10 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.
The story from Sunday's game was the Bills turning to the running game to down the visiting Cowboys. James Cook led the way on the ground for Buffalo with 25 carries for 179 yards and a touchdown. He also added two receptions for 42 yards and another score to account for 221 yards from scrimmage.
With such a great performance from the running game, quarterback Josh Allen had a relatively quiet game for the Bills, going 7-of-15 for just 94 yards, a touchdown through the air and another touchdown on the ground.
Following Sunday's much-needed win, Allen felt the offense is getting better as the year goes on.
"I think that's what we're built for, games like this," said Allen during his postgame meeting with the media. "Our defense went out there and, against a fantastic offense, did their thing."
While it was a quiet day for Allen, Sunday's win is another win, which he will take no matter what.
"Just find a way to win," Allen said. "I felt like the kid that didn't do anything for the class project, but got an A. But again, I'll do this 10 times out of 10 times like this to keep going."
With the win, Allen knows they have to keep finding different ways to come away victorious, whether it has to come through the air or on the ground.
"It's going to be like that some days. It's going to be the opposite," Allen said. "We understand that, we know that, but at the end of the day, especially in the spot we're at right now, just win."
