Allen: 'Total team loss, all three phases'

Bills quarterback Josh Allen addressed the media following Buffalo's 44-42 loss to the Rams

Inglewood, Calif. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills' winning streak ends at seven-straight games after they fell short on Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Rams, 44-42, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen put up another historic performance in the losing effort, becoming the first player to throw for three touchdowns and rush for three touchdowns in the modern era of the NFL.

Overall, Allen finished 22-of-37 passing for 342 yards and his three touchdowns through the air. On the ground, he led the Bills with 82 yards on 10 carries for his other three touchdowns.

Although his performance was historic, Allen was still adamant that he could have done more to help the team win.

"Just trying to go out there and execute the play called to the best of our ability, and we didn't do that well enough tonight," said Allen following Sunday's loss with the media. "I don't know the stats, I don't know how well we did on third down, or completion percentage. I don't know any of that. I just know it wasn't good enough to win a football game."

The Bills next head to Detroit to take on the 12-1 Lions at Ford Field. Detroit currently sits as the No. 1 team in the NFC, having won 11-straight games.

"They're the top dog in football right now. They're playing extremely well, so we've got to have a good week and learn from this one. Put it behind us," Allen said of the Lions. "But that was a good team that we just played with. A really good quarterback [Matthew Stafford], and they played with urgency. At that point in the season, they're playing like they've got to be in the playoffs right now."

Kickoff next Sunday is set for 4:25 p.m. EST, and you can catch all of the action on the official voice of the Bills - WGR Sports Radio 550.
