Bills select linebacker Edefuan Ulofoshio with 160th pick out of Washington

Edefuan Ulofoshio had a combined 251 tackles in six seasons with the Huskies

Detroit, Mich. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills use their second pick of the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft to select linebacker Edefuan Ulofoshio with the 160th overall selection out of the University of Washington.

In six seasons at Washington, Ulofoshio collected 251 total tackles (153 solo), 15 tackles for loss, seven sacks, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception.

This past season in Seattle, Ulofoshio was picked as a Second-Team All-American by Pro Football Focus, a Third-Team All-American by the Associated Press, and a First-Team All-Pac 12 player.

Ulofoshio now joins a linebacking group that already consists of Matt Milano, Terrel Bernard, Dorian Williams, Baylon Spector and newcomer Nicholas Morrow.

The 24-year-old is also the first Huskies player selected by the Bills since Fred Coleman in 1998.

Here is what NFL analyst Lance Zierlein had to say about the linebacker:

"Sixth-year player and former walk-on known for both physical and mental toughness to overcome adversity. Injuries wiped out the better part of 2021 and 2022 for him, but he came back to post his most impressive production to date. He’s well-built and strong in his upper half. He can take on blocks or work around them but will find himself out of position due to a lack of instincts and patience. He doesn’t have great speed or short-area agility, so his margin for error is thin. He’s been a more successful tackle finisher than expected and leaves a mark when he hits. Ulofoshio’s best shot to stick around might be to shine as a core special teams member."

The Bills were set to pick with the 163rd overall selection, but have traded it to the Green Bay Packers for Picks 168 and 219.
