Bills select tackle Chase Lundt with 206th pick in sixth round of 2025 NFL Draft

Lundt is Buffalo's second offensive player taken on Day 3

Green Bay, Wis. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills have added just their second offensive player of the 2025 NFL Draft, drafting offensive tackle Chase Lundt with the 206th overall pick in the sixth round out of the University of Connecticut.

Lundt put together a strong season in 2024, where he led a run game at UConn that rushed for 2,590 yards, the second-highest total in school history. The team ranked 23rd overall in the country in yards per-game at 192.7.

In the passing game, Lundt and the Huskies really protected the quarterback, only allowing just 1.07 sacks per-game, ranking 13th out of the country's top programs.

Here is what NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein has to say about Lundt:

"Highly experienced collegiate right tackle, who is likely to be in consideration at tackle and/or guard due to his lack of length. Lundt is strong in his core and hands. He does a nice job balancing through contact, and using good hand placement to secure his run blocks. He has the tools to play hat-on-hat, or as a move blocker in the run game due to technique and adequate flexion, but he might need to add more bulk. Lundt might not be a physical match to handle rushers with the speed, power and counters, he will see as an NFL tackle in pass protection. He projects as an average swing tackle, but a move to guard could create an easier pathway to become a solid NFL starter."

The Bills will wrap up their 2025 draft class with the 240th overall selection in the seventh round.
