Kansas City, Mo. (WGR 550) - After trading back twice in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills find themselves with a pair of picks in the seventh round.

With the first of their two seventh-round selections (230th overall), the Bills added more depth to the offensive line with the selection of guard Nick Broeker out of Ole Miss.

In his four years played at Mississippi, Broeker did not miss one game, appearing in 48 contests for the Rebels, starting 23 games at left tackle and 13 at left guard.

As a senior, Broeker earned First-Team All-SEC honors, along with being named a Second-Team All-American. Broeker also won the Kent Hull Trophy as the best offensive linemen in the State of Mississippi.

The Rebels offense averaged 490-plus yards per-game in Broeker’s four years at Mississippi, being a starter in three of those seasons.

Here is what NFL analyst Chad Reuter had to say about the native of Springfield, Illinois:

"Broeker was a four-star recruit from Sacred Heart-Griffin High School in Springfield, Illinois, before making his way to Oxford. He earned quite a bit of playing time as a true freshman, suiting up in all 12 games as a key reserve and seeing more than 30 snaps in most games. Broeker started all 10 games of the Rebels' 2020 season and all 13 games in 2021. He slid in to play left guard in 2022, garnering second-team All-SEC accolades after not allowing a single sack in 435 pass-blocking snaps in his 13 starts."

Broeker is the second guard taken by the Bills in the 2023 NFL Draft, joining O'Cyrus Torrence, who was drafted 59th overall in Round 2 out of the University of Florida.
