Cleveland, Ohio (WGR) - The Buffalo Bills defeated the Cleveland Browns, 31-7, in each team’s second preseason game of the season at Huntington Bank Field.

The Bills are now 2-0 in the preseason.

Here are my Arrows Up and Down from the contest, starting UP after the win:

ARROW UP:

Kyle Allen

Allen has been very impressive this preseason, going 10-of-12 for 128 yards and a touchdown in this one, and is now 24-of-28 (85.7%) for 236 yards with a touchdown pass through two preseason games.

Shane Buechele to Ja’Mori Maclin

The play of the game came when the Bills' third-string quarterback threw a beautiful ball to the undrafted wideout, who caught it and raced the rest off the way for a 71-yard touchdown.

Tyler Bass

Bass nailed a 52-yard field goal and was perfect on his four extra point attempts, going 5-for-5 on kicks for the day.

Trent Sherfield

Sherfield caught all four passes thrown his way and totaled 54 yards receiving.

Jordan Hancock

Hancock continues his ascension with another nice performance. He only recorded one official tackle, but was around the football a lot, and had a big pass breakup on a third down.

Te’Corey Couch

Couch was on the receiving end of an interception in the third quarter on a play he was playing safety. He’s been primarily a cornerback, but did a good job to show his versatility. He ended the game with two tackles, the pick, and a pass breakup.

Damar Hamlin

Hamlin had an interception in the Bills' red zone to help stop a Browns drive. He was also credited with a pass breakup, and wound up the team’s leading tackler with five total stops.

Joe Andreessen

It was Andreessen who deflected the ball Hamlin intercepted. He also was very active throughout the second half, collecting three total tackles.

Offensive line

The Bills' line paved the way for 138 yards rushing and was good in protection most of the day, allowing just one sack in 23 drop backs.

Ian Wheeler

Wheeler continued to run hard and gain extra yardage, even when it looked like he’d be stopped. He finished as the game’s leading rusher with 56 yards on 14 carries, and added an additional 21 yards on a pair of catches for a 77-yard afternoon.

Third-down defense

The Browns converted just 3-of-11 attempts to convert on third down (27.3%).

Rush defense

The Bills allowed just 3.1 yards a carry and 84 yards total on the ground on the day.

Red zone offense

The Bills were a perfect 3-for-3 scoring touchdowns once inside the Browns' 20-yard line.

ARROW DOWN:

Lightning delay

Just 1:49 into the contest, after a heavy rain started falling, referee Bill Vinovich suspended the game due to lightning in the area. The delay lasted an hour and four minutes.

Jude Bowry

Bowry got beaten cleanly for a sack on the Bills' second drive, moving them from a 2nd-and-8 to a 3rd-and-17.

First defensive drive

The Bills were up 7-0 to start the game, but the Browns took their opening possession and drove 65 yards in 11 plays to tie it up.

Mecole Hardman

Hardman had two drops on third-down passes in the first half. The first was a bit contested, but the second was not and a clean drop. Both would have gone for first downs.

He did make up for them with a nice catch and run for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Geno Stone

Stone gave up too much space in the passing game when he was on the field.
