Claypool, Kincaid impress at Bills OTAs on Tuesday

Both players made highlight-reel catches during on-field work

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - One is coming off a historic rookie season. The other is trying to revive a career that hasn't gone as well as expected.

Both Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid and wide receiver Chase Claypool made highlight-reel types of catches that grabbed the attention of those on-hand for Tuesday's OTAs in Orchard Park.

First, it was Kincaid, who saw a lot of work in the passing game, as the team worked in the heat just outside the ADPRO Sports Training Center.

Heading down the sideline, quarterback Josh Allen found the tight end, who had to climb up to make a grab between defenders, and was able to get both feet down inbounds.

Not long after, quarterback Mitch Trubisky threw it up to Claypool right around the same spot on the field. The wideout seemed covered by cornerback Ja'Marcus Ingram, but made a great adjustment to high-point the ball as his body was turning, grabbed it, and landed in the field of play.

Claypool, who caught 62 passes for 873 yards and nine touchdowns his rookie season with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2020, was signed as a free agent by the team just a few weeks ago. He's looking to revive a career that's now taken him to his fourth team in two years, including stops with the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.

On the defensive side of the ball, rookie defensive tackle DeWayne Carter made a few plays that caught attention, including getting into the backfield a couple of times to disrupt timing and battling down a Trubisky pass.

The team will continue OTAs this week, with the next session open to the media coming next Tuesday, May 28.
