One word can best-describe the past three weeks for the Buffalo Bills: Domination.

The Bills have now won three-straight contests following their Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, with their most recent win coming in the fashion of a 40-0 shutout of the Houston Texans on Sunday at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.

When you combine the efforts of the last three games, the Bills have outscored their opponents, 118-21. This includes a pair of shutout performances by the defense against the Texans and Miami Dolphins in Week 2.

With the team's overall success in recent weeks, the Bills have ascended back into the discussion as one of the best teams in the AFC. Those discussions have also extended into the overall picture, with Buffalo being talked about as one of the best teams in the National Football League.

While the Buffalo offense maybe hasn't been as productive and high-flying as the unit was in 2020, it has still put up some impressive numbers through the first four games. The Bills are currently ranked sixth overall in total offense, averaging 404 yards per-game, while also being the second-highest scoring team in the NFL with an average of 33.5 points per-game.

Josh Allen and the passing attack has yet to really hit stride to start the 2021 campaign, ranking 12th in the league averaging 258.8 yards per-game, but the ground game has bounced back dramatically, ranking fifth overall in the NFL with 145.3 yards rushing per-game.

As for the defense, the unit has re-emerged as the dominant group that it was in the 2019 season, currently ranking No. 1 in the league ahead of teams like the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers. Buffalo has only allowed a remarkable 867 total yards through four games, which is an average of 216.8 yards-against per-game. In addition, the Bills are only allowing their opposition an average of 11 points per-game, which is also a league-best mark.

One large reasoning behind the unit's overall success has been its ability to force turnovers once again. The Bills lead the NFL with 11 takeaways through four games, which includes seven interceptions and four fumbles.

Despite the early season success, the Bills must now gear up for, perhaps, their toughest challenge of the season when they travel to Kansas City this Sunday night to take on the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

The start to the 2021 season for the reigning AFC Champions has not gone as expected, as the Chiefs currently sit at 2-2 following wins against the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles and losses to the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers.

This past week against the Eagles, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City offense bounced back with an explosion of production in a 42-30 win in Philadelphia. Mahomes finished his afternoon completing 24-of-30 pass attempts for 278 yards and five touchdowns, including three passing scores to wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

It was also a solid day for the Chiefs' rushing attack, as Kansas City managed to amass 200 yards on the ground, including 102 yards from Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

While Kansas City's offense is as dangerous as ever, its defense has been a sore spot for the team through the first four weeks. The Chiefs currently rank 31st in the entire NFL in total defense, giving up an average of 437.8 yards per-game. The defense also rank 31st in points per-game, allowing an average of 31.3 points.

While the Chiefs are one of the toughest games remaining on the Bills' regular season schedule, Sunday night's matchup is not phasing Howard Simon one bit.

In the highly anticipated rematch of the 2020 AFC Championship Game in Kansas City, Howard is confident the Bills can get past the Chiefs with a win on the road in prime-time.
