Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Just days after being released by the Buffalo Bills as part of a flurry of roster moves to cut into the salary cap, center Mitch Morse has landed on his feet in the AFC South.

As first reported by NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo, the Jacksonville Jaguars have signed Morse to a two-year contract worth a reported $10.5 million with $7 million guaranteed.

Morse started 126 games for the Bills over his five years with the team after signing as a free agent in 2019 from the Kansas City Chiefs. He had been under center for Buffalo in five of Josh Allen's six seasons to date.

The 31-year-old was named to his first and only Pro Bowl in the 2022 season.

While injuries have been a bit of a concern with Morse throughout his tenure with the Bills, his 2023 season was, arguably, his healthiest year, playing in 97% of the offensive snaps and not missing any game during the regular season and the playoffs.

The release of Morse freed up $8.5 million of cap space for the Bills ahead of the 2024 new league year on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.

Morse will be joined in Jacksonville this upcoming season by wide receiver Gabe Davis, who has signed a three-year contract with the Jaguars.
