Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Buffalo Bills defensive end Joey Bosa suffered a pulled calf recently, and will miss the remainder of the offseason workout program, according to head coach Sean McDermott.
"Joey Bosa will not participate today, he pulled a calf. He'll be out for, more than likely, the foreseeable spring time, at least, and then we'll get into training camp. Should be good to go by training camp," said McDermott on Tuesday.
Bosa signed a one-year, $12.6 million contract with the Bills back in March after the start of NFL Free Agency.
The former third overall pick of the Los Angeles Chargers (still San Diego at the time) in the 2016 NFL Draft has accumulated 72 career sacks, which ranks 14th amongst all active NFL players. However, he has played only 28 of a possible 51 games over the last three seasons due to various injuries.
The five-time Pro Bowler will turn 30 in July.
