Josh Allen's elbow injury still being evaluated

Bills head coach Sean McDermott says he will know more in next 24 hours

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills starting quarterback Josh Allen's right elbow injury is still being evaluated, according to head coach Sean McDermott. McDermott says he will know more about Allen's injury in the next 24 hours.

Allen injured his elbow on the final series of the team's 20-17 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday. He said after the game he felt "slight pain", but that he would get through it.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport tweeted on Monday that Allen's injury is expected to keep him limited in practice this week, but that more tests would be conducted.

"We all know how competitive Josh is," said McDermott during his Monday press conference with the media. "I would never count him out," when asked if he feels the injury would keep the quarterback out of practice or even the team's next game Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

"The medical piece we are still evaluating."

In other injury news, McDermott said that defensive end Gregory Rousseau is considered week-to-week after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's loss.
