It might be time for JuJu Smith-Schuster to stop trying to dance on other team’s logos.
The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, who attempted to imitate the Terrell Owens celebration on the Dallas Cowboys star just a few weeks ago, was back at it on Sunday before the Steelers’ Sunday night game against the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park.
With the cameras on Smith-Schuster warming up before the game, he jogged over to midfield and onto the Bills logo, where he started doing a dance. He also posted the video of his dance onto his TikTok account before the game.
Well, the Bills players saw this, and that apparently only fueled their fire before the prime-time game between two of the AFC’s best teams.
“I ain’t going to lie, seeing them dancing on our logo pregame and seeing all that, that turns you up a little bit,” Bills safety Jordan Poyer said, via Syracuse.com. “It kind of gives you a little second itch to come out and play with some extra fire. We were hyped up on the sideline, we had a big win. And we were just having fun.”
That energy was evident after the Bills defense picked off Ben Roethlisberger for the second time in the game during the fourth quarter when they were doing a dance of their own.
The 26-15 win for the Bills was crucial, as they are now just one game behind Pittsburgh for the No. 2 seed in the AFC. The Steelers, meanwhile, lost their second straight game and fell out of a tie with the Kansas City Chiefs for the top spot in the conference and potential first round bye.
Back in Week 9, Smith-Schuster sought out the Dallas star after scoring a touchdown against the Cowboys, but Cowboys players knocked the ball out of his hands in an attempt to stop him from going to the star.
While the Steelers won that game, they were not as fortunate this time around. Perhaps Smith-Schuster ought to be careful about giving opposing teams bulletin board material just before kickoff.
