Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Despite the game taking place almost a week ago, the Buffalo Bills continue to get rave reviews following their impressive season-opening win over the Rams in Los Angeles.
This time, it was former Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who was blown away with the team's performance this past Thursday. The new Amazon studio analyst joined the "Howard and Jeremy Show" on Wednesday morning to share his thoughts on his former team in the early stages of the 2022 season.
Over the years since his departure from Western New York, Fitzpatrick has shown support for the Bills, and even went as far as saying he would jump through a table if Buffalo were to win Super Bowl LVII.
"They are gonna be a tough team to beat this year... couldn't have been a more impressive opener on Thursday night," said Fitzpatrick with Jeremy White on Wednesday.
The journeymen quarterback has now found a new home with Amazon Prime after calling it a career in the NFL this offseason. Fitzpatrick joins an all-star cast for "Thursday Night Football" along with Richard Sherman, Charissa Thompson, Tony Gonzalez, Marshawn Lynch and Pat McAfee.
It will be the first time in 18 years Fitzpatrick has not been on the sidelines, which he admits will be an adjustment period for him.
This season will be the first in which "Thursday Night Football" will be exclusively available on Amazon Prime, with the first game featuring the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.
"For Amazon, to have our first game and to be able to get Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes - both at 1-0 playing against each other - there's so much hype around these two guys I don't know if we could have a better first game," Fitzpatrick said.
