Orchard Park, NY (WGR Sports Radio 550)- The Bills had a tough divisional matchup with the Dolphins on Thursday night, but were able leave Highmark Stadium with a victory.
After being tied 14-14 at the half, the Bills squeezed out the win 31-21 and Head Coach Sean McDermott knew it would take grit to finish off a divisional opponent.
"I thought the grit, the mental toughness of our football team was on display throughout the game, in particular in the fourth quarter," said McDermott.
The game-winning 48-yard field goal by Prater was set up with an interception by Bernard who McDermott said has been growing each game.
"Last week we had two examples of a similar type of indicator, and we didn't see it and that's growth and development. These players have done a phenomenal job of being coachable like TB."
