Inglewood, Calif. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills continued to keep their playoff hopes alive, winning their third-straight game on Saturday night with a 24-22 nail-biter over the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.

With the win, the Bills are now 9-6 in the AFC standings with two games remaining in the regular season. The win also puts Buffalo, for now, in the second Wild Card spot in the conference.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott says he was proud of how his team stuck through a gritty game against the Chargers. McDermott still wants his offense to work on cleaning up the turnovers - Buffalo turned the ball over three on the day - but liked how the defense stayed strong, only allowing one touchdown.

"I thought our guys settled in and responded," said McDermott following his team's win. "I think we did a good job in the red zone, third down as well, and had some big plays on those third downs to help us out."

The defense played a huge role in Buffalo's win, forcing five sacks on Chargers quarterback Easton Stick. Veteran defensive tackle Ed Oliver finished the game with two sacks of his own.

On the offensive side of the ball, wide receiver Gabe Davis had his best offensive performance of the season with four catches for 130 yards and one touchdown. McDermott applauded Davis after the win for staying with it and focusing on the team's success.

"He hasn't had the touches called over the last couple of weeks, but he's blocked well. He's been in the right spots," McDermott said. "He just stayed with it, and the ball finds you when you do things the right way. I'm extremely proud of him for it, and it's a credit to him, to his week-to-week approach."
