Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White returned to the field for the first time in over 10 months on Wednesday.

White practiced for the first time since tearing his ACL on Thanksgiving night last year against the New Orleans Saints.

However, head coach Sean McDermott said the 2019 First-Team All-Pro will not play in Sunday’s contest against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

White remains on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, where he’s been since the start of training camp.

By practicing, the Bills now have 21 days to either activate White to the 53-man roster or place him on Injured Reserve.

After playing the Chiefs on Sunday, the Bills will have their bye week the following weekend. They then return home to face the Green Bay Packers on "Sunday Night Football" in Orchard Park.

Although the deadline to activate White to the 53-man roster will be two days after that contest, the Bills could do it before then, and he could possibly play that game.

White wasn’t the only cornerback who returned to the field on Wednesday.

Rookie Christian Benford, who’s missed the last two contests with a broken hand, was also back and wearing a red non-contact jersey.

In addition, safety Jordan Poyer was also in a red non-contact jersey. Poyer missed last Sunday’s 38-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers while dealing with injured ribs.

McDermott also announced that wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie has cleared the league's concussion protocol, which puts him on track to be available to play in Kansas City on Sunday.

McKenzie was on the practice field on Wednesday, as was tight end Dawson Knox and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, who both missed Sunday’s game against the Steelers.

So the Bills are getting quite a bit healthier ahead of a huge conference matchup this upcoming week.

However, two players did miss Wednesday’s practice while they deal with injuries. Running back/special teamer Taiwan Jones missed practice with a knee injury, while wide receiver Jake Kumerow is nursing an ankle injury.
