Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The NHL has released the second round schedule for the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the Buffalo Sabres will open at home on Wednesday, May 6. Buffalo will play the winner of Sunday's Game 7 between the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning.
On Friday the Sabres won their first playoff series since 2007 by beating the Boston Bruins 4-1 in Game 6.
Games in Buffalo will be Wednesday and Friday. If they become necessary, the Sabres would host Game 5 on Thursday, May 14 and Game 7 on Monday, May 18.
