Buffalo N.Y. (WGR 550) - For the third time this season, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
This week's honor comes following a big win over the Miami Dolphins this past Saturday that helped the Bills clinch a playoff berth for the fourth-straight season.
In the snow, Allen completed 24-of-40 passes for 304 yards and four touchdowns, plus a two-point conversion to tie the game at 29-29 in the fourth quarter. Allen also put up 10 carries for 77 yards.
In the fourth quarter of Saturday's game, Allen led the Bills down the field to tie the game at 29-29 on a five-yard touchdown pass to tight end Dawson Knox. He tied the game with a diving two-point conversion attempt, where he jumped over a pile of bodies to break the plane of the goal line.
Then with less than six minutes left on the clock, Allen completed four-of-six passes, as the Bills got a game-winning 25-yard field goal from Tyler Bass that officially clinched a playoff berth.
Allen also became the third quarterback in NFL history to throw for over 300 yards and add 75-or-more rushing yards along with four touchdowns in a game.
In the win, Allen tied Hall-of-Fame quarterback Dan Marino for the most total touchdowns in a player's first five seasons with 171.
With his 10th AFC Offensive Player of the Week honor, Allen ties Hall-of-Famer Jim Kelly for the most AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors in franchise history.
Allen has also been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performances this season in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
With a win on Saturday afternoon over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, the Bills can clinch a third-straight AFC East title.
