Sabres take forward Dylan Dumont with 188th pick in 2026 NHL Draft

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Sabres closed out their brief second day of the 2026 NHL Draft on Saturday by making the selection of forward Dylan Dumont from the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League with the 188th overall pick.

This past season was the 17-year-old's first playing in the top junior level in Quebec, where he tallied 44 points (28+16) in 62 games with the Voltigeurs. His 28 goals ranked first in team totals for the season, while his 44 points were six-best for Drummondville.

In the playoffs with Drummondville, Dumont scored a game-winning goal and had five points (4+1) in five games.

Dumont was playing with Saint-Hyacinthe Gaulois' program as a 16-year-old, where he was named to the QM18AAA's All-Star Team after tallying 67 points (31+36) in 42 games.
