Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) – The Buffalo Sabres are giving Anders Bjork a chance to play in the NHL again, as they’ve traded him to the Chicago Blackhawks for future considerations.
Things never worked out for Bjork after the Sabres acquired him from the Boston Bruins in the Taylor Hall trade. He only played one game in Buffalo this season before being sent down to the Rochester Americans.
With the Amerks, the winger played 42 games, scoring eight goals and 17 assists for 25 points.

In 74 total games with the Sabres, Bjork scored eight goals and six assists for 14 points.
Bjork was acquired back on April 11, 2021 in a trade with the Bruins, along with a 2021 second-round pick (Aleksandr Kisakov) for Hall and center Curtis Lazar.
The 26-year-old was taken in the fifth round of the 2014 NHL Draft by the Bruins.
