Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) – The Rick Martin Memorial Award has been in existence for five years and ever since Kyle Okposo was the second player to win it in 2021-22, Alex Tuch has won it three seasons in a row.

The fans voted for Tuch again in 2024-25. The “Rico Award” is given to the player who best demonstrates on-ice excellence, resiliency, and dedication to the community.

Tuch spends quite a bit of his spare time supporting The Summit Center which has programs for those who have autism spectrum disorder.

He also helps with toy drives in the community and along with Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin hosts “The Captains’ Crew” which helps kids in a learn to play program.

Tuch has been a Sabres fan all his life growing up in Syracuse.
