Marsha Aizumi, author and PFLAG ambassador, joins the show to talk about the importance of International Transgender Day of Visibility.
Martha says that are more that 200 bills in 19 states that have been proposed against LGBTQ+ people. This hits home for her because her son is transgender and she says this day is so important because these bills target kids who are transgender.
PFLAG is an organization that takes action to oppose these bills and lift up trans kids. "I think it's so important that they know they are seen, that they are heard, and that they're valued," says Martha.
