The star of Netflix's new Feel The Beat, Sofia Carson, joined AJ Gibson and Mikalah Gordon on CHANNEL Q'sThe Morning Beat to discuss the making of the new film, plus shares her powerful statement on Pride.
The new Netflix original film is available now for streaming and is truly all about a feel-good moment. The Descendants star cheerfully tells AJ, "the movie is a celebration of joy, and hope and love...it's a homecoming. And more importantly, it just makes you smile...I hope that you smile as much as we did while making the film because I think we need that now more than ever."
Sofia goes beyond Pride month to explain that uplifting LGBTQ+ youth must extend past the month of June and should be a daily practice. "It's been really inspiring to see the change that is happening, the change that is being accomplished and I urge you and I know you're urging your loved ones, let's take to the polls, let's use our voice and lets vote," Carson actively calls for.
